Becoming a pharmacy technician is a noble career choice. If you are not ready to take the step to being a pharmacist, or a simply happy to remain an assistant, being a pharmacist assistant will provide you with a role that encompasses many different tasks on a daily basis. There are paths that you can continue on after you have some experience as a pharmacy assistant. You may choose to become a pharmacy manager, or take the other path and go to university to become a pharmacist.

It is possible to become a pharmacy assistant without any training. Many people begin their role as a junior in a pharmacy store, and they then learn the skills on the job.
